ATP bets on innovation again by buying a new 3D printer with SLA technology

Published onby ATP Group

The new 3D printer with SLA technology is capable of producing both industrial quality prototypes and end-use parts in record time.

Laser Stereolithography technology allows to cross-link thermosetting polymeric materials trasforming them in liquid resin by Laser Radiation.

Once the “.stl” format geometry is ready, it is reworked by the PreForm software which allows to perfectly position the component on the printing plate, select the desired material, generate the supports and, finally, send the print program to the printer.

As soon as the printing process is ended, Form3 runs the washing of the component using isopropyl alcohol (IPA).Once the piece is  cleaned and residues free is possibile to complete the resin crosslinking inside the UV oven. This step is essential to complete and improve the characteristics of the finished piece by refining  the details.

Do you want to know more about our 3D printer characteristics?

  • printable components maximum size is 14.5 × 14.5 × 18.5cm
  • layer thickness has to be between 25 and 300 microns
  • There are more than 20 printable materials. Their mechanical properties allow to simulate rigid (PA, POM) or flexible (PU, rubber) plastic materials
