PACKING SEALS
Packing rings in PTFE or other materials can be used for high pressure seals, depending on the application’s operating conditions.
ATP has created special multi-material solutions capable of withstanding pressures greater than 500 bar, in which an anti-extruder element has also been introduced.
For example, for rod movements at 300 bar with aggressive fluids, it is possible to use packing rings in PTFE and SINTEK FPM. In this manner, it is possible to decrease wear using a spring-action system, or an axial compression adjustment system.
