Challenge

One of our customers, leader in the shipbuilding industry and committed in the construction of a new big bridge, asked us to find a solution for positioning and maintaining the reciprocal position of the parts, considering a few millimetresrange of tolerances. The solution had to guarantee very high precision combination in building works and systems engineering, in a short time and with limited efforts.

Solution

Thanks to the fine-tuned height adjustment given by the threaded tie-rod, levelling screw jacks LEONARDO I and II allow extremely precise positioning in the construction industry. In case of reciprocal combination of bridges’ sections with very tight tolerances, using LEONARDO it is possible to combine parts with extreme precision and to keep this positioning fixed over time, with limited efforts and very short set-up time.
